Dear Blog,

When I heard the news I was saddened by it.

Not just because she was just another singer I adored who could no longer share her beautiful talent with the world, but because she was part of my growing childhood and she became someone I looked up to as a singer when I didn't have the conventional vocal teacher/trainer to guide me through the perfect way of singing.

Listening to her songs on the radio as a kid, trying to push myself to be vocally fit and amazing like her was what drove me to improve my art, and I still push myself because nobody is perfect. There's ALWAYS room for improvement! Though now, of course I have to thank my many other "teachers" who influenced me throughout the years, some i've met and some i've only heard through their songs. :)

Whitney Houston - The Greatest Love of All (Nelson Mendela Concert)

I remember the first song I ever sang was "The Greatest Love of All". I loved that song sooo much that I only sang that one particular tune every chance I got, be it at a karaoke joint or a singing competition. Of course my mom told me to learn some other songs besides that one tune after the 2nd year. LOL

Just like 95% of singers out there, we know how much Whitney has affected our lives.

Therefore I thank her (even though I will never ever meet her in person to say this to her) for exposing her beautiful music and gorgeous vocals to the world. I am so proud to be a fan of hers.

Rest in Peace, Whitney Houston.

You are dearly missed.

I've been busy doing a lot of personal errands.

Family time, chinese new year, the works.

It was so great to spend time with people you love.

Just brings me so much peace and happiness, you know?

I'm glad i spent it with my family and my extended family. :)

This Chinese New Year, i spent it in Penang.

It was wonderful, however i was stuck in that danggg traffic.

8 hours on the road is no joke!

Wonder if anyone else was in the same traffic jam?

Anyway, i'm back in KL and it's time to get back to work.

Btw, i'm currently training with my brother for a month!

It's gonna be hard work but we gonna get it going.

My brother Mano, a former Malaysian Junior hockey player and previously a personal fitness trainer at California Fitness(now busy with business career) is giving me some hardcore regimes.

Completely pancit today! lol

2012, get ready to be MINE!

Dear Blog,

It's the year 2012 and I have decided to make a New Year Resolution for myself.

This time, I decided learn a few new things and improve on old habits in my life to see how far my progress will be by the end of 2012.
I want to challenge myself with something new besides just making music and trying
to make my dreams come true.
I have a made a list for myself, and I plan to stick with it.
By the end of the year, I will reveal my list and compare my progress for the year!
Don't want to do it now cause i am afraid I might jinx it! lol

Anyway, just a little update on myself, I have been pretty busy with personal stuff since I got back to KL.
Been away for 2months so I got a lot of catching up to do, and not forgetting Moe's family is down. :)
Family is important, hands down.

But work is of course important! My career is my no.1 priority at the moment, so will be on a roll ASAP!
If there is one thing I am grateful for, it's having a wonderful family and boyfriend who understands how much music means to me and supporting me to keep marching forward even when I feel tired and frustrated - you know being human and all. :)

So, till my next post. Time to hit the sack!
Btw, my new year resolution includes waking up 8@9am every morning to seize the day! <3 lol

Quebec City: Part II

So as you know i'm here in Quebec City, spending it with my brother Sunder.

Having such a great time just hanging out with him and his dear friends.

Hence, to conclude what's going on so far, I'm just having a really good time chilling with my brother.

Well, another week plus to go, so will keep you posted on this. ;)

Btw, right now I am just relaaaaaxing.

In Quebec City!

Dear Blog,

I thought today I'd share with you some updates of the last few days on my stay in New York.

Well, one was the awesome time I had with my Spiritchild from Mental Notes, gifted musician and a dear friend.

I was suppose to be one of the acts featured for his performance at the Blue Note Jazz club.

It was indeed a great night and I met so many amazing talents and wonderful people.

Rehearsing with the band and the other acts. Funny story, it took me 2 and a half hours to find this studio which was like 10mins away from my place as i got confused with the Subway trains. lol

The same night, Spirit brought me out with his friends to Tammany Hall. Guess who was spinning baby?

Talib Kweli. Hellsss yeah!

The night of the show at the Blue Note Jazz Club, New York. Had nooo idea it was such an epic spot to play at. Thanks to Spiritchild from Mental Notes for the opportunity!

Dinner with Tom and Concett before the show. They treated me to some original American food. Sooo good.

Sweet words from a dear friend. Thanks Spirit. We shall meet again soon!

The awesomeness of the night went upwards from then on.

We continued the great vibes at the bar next door, think it was called "Black Pussycat Bar"(or something along those lines! lol) and we all connected and got to know each other better.

Sadly the night had to end, and I had to say goodbye to these lovely people, but i know we will all cross path again. :)

The next day, I completed worked on the bridge part of Rick Seibold co-written track at Vaughn's studio.

Pretty sweet studio. Little V's everywhere in Vaughn's studio.

It's all about the trademark ya'll! ;)

So, it was indeed a pretty hectic week in New York too.

I'm always happy to do music, cause i'm definitely passionate about it and the vibe is always great when you work with positive and amazing people.

For example, working with Bill Grainer and Joel Dean was definitely a mind blowing experience.

FUN,creative juices flowing and just positive energy everywhere.

Can't wait to hear the final tracks!!

We need to start a band together guys! lol

We look the part already. <3

And now, finally I'm here safely in Quebec City, Canada with my brother Sunder.

It feels so good to be here with him cause i've missed him sooo badly.

Had a little drama with my luggage, but thank God that's sorted out.

Seriously guys, positive thoughts,positive outcomes.

Anyway, will keep you posted on my updates here in beautiful and coldddd Quebec City, Canada!

Dear Blog,

Today i was feeling really disturbed by how easily some people judge a person or a person's family without even knowing them.
They say horrible things about others based on their own made up stories in their head.
What makes me surprised is they don't even know these people personally yet they are
extremely convinced that they do, hence leading them to say whatever they choose to say like it is set in stone.

I guess these people do not realize the consequences of assuming and making conclusions of something or someone without doing their research or finding out the truth.
Someone mentioned to me recently that it is because some people find it convenient to accept whatever another party or the masses say. Its like they think "Why bother making my own decision if I can be spoon fed with information?"
How true this statement is, I have no idea. I let you be the judge.

It's sad that some will go to extremes just to make another person feel bad about themselves to make their point clear. Being dissatisfied and having problems with someone is fine, but to attack/insult a person without confrontation first, i think is disrespectful and inconsiderate. Why not talk, find out first what happened before going all ballistic?
What's even more annoying is how some people talk bad about someone behind their back, yet in front they pretend like they treasure the friendship like gems.

Fake friendships, hate that. When you have nothing, well.. you're practically nothing.
Suddenly when you make a little success, BOOM, everyone loves you.

Well, who am I to judge these people, likewise who are they to judge me with my personal opinion. Usually, I do not like to think about negative things as I always appreciate the feeling of being happy, loved and cared by people who matter to me. I am indeed lucky solely because I am blessed with great people in my life.

Honestly, I am speaking about no one in particular.
It's just stories that I experience sometimes, stories from friends etc.

I mean, we are all humans after all, prone to mistakes, feelings and so forth.

We are not perfect, well..

I know i'm not, but i try to make the best of my days and pick up the pieces where I've failed and learn from it, as well as enjoy the amazing things life has given me and appreciate them.

The world is a wonderful place, of course as long as we keep the negative energy away. <3

With this, i just wanna say thank you God for a wonderful family, loving friends, inspiring peers, and of course my amazing fans and music appreciators.
Also, thanks to the haters for motivating me to move forward.
I always work better with a little push. ;)

Last night I completed my recording session with the TC Music fam.

Manage to lay some vocals for the Rick Seibold track, and it sounds pretty sweet.

Can't wait to get back into the studio to fine tune it.

Tonight, is my co-write session with Bill Grainer, and I am super stoked.

Before my performance at the Renaissance Hotel, Hollywood

Los Angeles was filled with amazing co-writes, people, shows and let's not forget the amazing Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2011 (HMMA2011) I attended - i was nominated for the Best Pop Song category for "Eyo Eyo".

Plus, having my mom with me was the icing on the cake! <3

As I am building my career there, it is definitely well worth it!

Venice Beach and more!

Dear Blog,

I'm having such a tough time trying to maintain my exercise regime here in LA.

Mostly because i'm still a lil jet lagged and there's just too much options when it comes to food.

And it comes in really BIG portions!

However, i have been quite the disciplined one, i must say! lol

Venice Beach

Went to Venice beach today! Loads of eccentric and eclectic people. Very hippie vibe.

Drum circles, buskers, performers etc. Saw Tim Robbins riding his eco-friendly bicycle around there, had chinese food at Mao Kitchen (HUGEEE portions!), got back home. Knocked out cause of the jet lagged, woke up, dinner walked a lil bit and now time for sleep for tomorrow's schedule! Guess that pretty much sums up my day today! lol

Dear Blog,

I am back in LA again!

This time i'm busy with production/co-writes so i'm freaking stoked!

Busy is always a good thing for me!

The best part of it all, my mom is here with me. yay!

Well, a lil update from my side here.

Got here on the 7th Nov.

Still jet lagged and i am feeling sick, probably due to the weather change! Sigh

Haven't done that much of sightseeing but i'm pretty sure i'll get to that later.

Still in Los Angeles, CA!

It's me again, completely hopeless when it comes to updating stuff.

Anyway, a little update on my side.
I'm currently in Los Angeles right now.
Doing some co-writing with some creditable producers and songwriters.
Completely humbled by their expertise, warmth and kindness.
Bless, is the exact feeling i had when I worked with them. :)

Also performed at the Renaissance Hotel, Hollywood.
What an amazing show and turnout.
Was a great night, and thankfully i was backed with amazing musicians - The Brian Buckley Band + Stephanie Tham (amazing pianist/composer/arranger/producer and friend)

Forgive me on the exclusion of pictures, I need to upload them but I am too tired right now.
I will do so when I have more free time.

Also, my video clip MARILAH/ADDICTED is out!
Well, it's been a week now - i know! lol
Like i said, completely hopeless when it comes to updating! lol
For those who love it, thank you so much and for those who don't (and were constructive on their criticisms) i'll do better the next time. :)
However, for those who were being nasty just to be hurtful, "meh, whatever."
I'm focusing on the love, not hate.

It's been a busy busy week!
Preparation for my video clip(watch out for it ok?).
It's been tough and challenging, but it feels good!
I can't wait for you guys to see it!!

I won't reveal anything about the video yet, but trust me it's going to be a different me!
I like it! :)

Plus, been really going to the gym recently to work on my fitness and tone up with my trainer Sam Adnan!
Have an interview next month which I'm really looking forward to.

It's been a really tiring but fruitful week!

Visiting stations,meetings, going for events and performing and promoting my latest malay single, "Marilah!"

Yesterday was spent first at UKM, Bangi for the KL.FM event and next at G Tower Hotel, for "Phat Fabes and Ben Gives Back Day".

I was quite happy i made it in time for the shows!

Was it just me, or was it reallyyyyy jammed on a Saturday?

Today morning, I was on tv1 for "Selamat Pagi Malaysia".

Hope you guys managed to catch it!

There was a slight malfunction during the show.

They played the music but i couldn't hear it cause the speaker was not on!

And it was LIVE! eep.

But thankfully, I came in at the right time.

Freaked out massively! lol

But it's all good.

Shit happens. haha

Just an intimate set(acoustic) alongside other great acts.

THANK THE LORDDDD!

Today, my oh myyyy what a day!

Simply annoyed at the fact that my cough hasn't fully recovered(for almost a month!), i went to the clinic to get an x-ray.

Unfortunately, both clinics that i went to didn't provide the service they asked me to visit the Damansara Medical Specialist.

So, did my x-ray and had the doctor examine on me.

Good news, there is no lung infection, or any abnormalities!

Bad news(well, not really THAT bad) is i have Post Nasal Drip.

That's what causes the itchiness in the throat and constant coughing.

Anyway, i'm glad to find out that it's nothing seriously harmful to my health!

In other matters, i'm really looking forward to my upcoming video clip for "Marilah!".

Had the meeting with the Director, Gambit Saifullah and I am pretty excited plus anxious about how it's gonna turnout!

Just wait and see!

Will keep you posted on the progress!

Marilah! - You want it?

It has been a major two weeks for me.
Solely because i've been down with such a bad cough and cold.
Hence, the reason why I've laid low for awhile.
While waiting to recover, here are some updates from my side.

Today, i was on TV9's Nasi Lemak Kopi O programme!

Packing for home!

A lot of things have been going on and by the time i'm back I'm completely knackered. lol

It's been really great but I am missing home.

So, what's up?
Today there was finally some snow action.

Not much, but it's definitely gonna start snowing again soon. ;)

Also, I experienced this weather called "ice rain"?
It's something like the hail storm only smaller?
Don't ask me, asian girl from tropical island who have only seen SUN and RAIN.
This is what i was told. lol

I spend the evening at a friend's place watching movie at his home cinema.
That's right.
HOME CINEMA.

With them cinema seats, elevated levels, the whole works.
Was literally a mini cinema.
Dammit. Wish i had a picture!
Promise I'll take a snap of it, when i go back there again. ;)

The movie, "Layer Cake" is a must watch.
Seriously.
Guys, you will love the story line and ladies, Danial Craig. lol

Anyway,

Out and About in Gerrrrmany. Brr.

Good morning!
It's 10am right now in Germany.
Today I'm gonna be going to Paderborn to get some stuff done.
We are rebooking our flights and only coming back in February, but definitely in time for
Chinese New Year.

Also, I heard there is this place there called "Got To Go" or "Wok To Go".
Asian Food baby!
Hopefully we'll have enough time to check that place out.

To be honest I'm still stuffed from yesterdays all you can eat buffet at Pheonix.
The oyster sauce mushroom was KILLER.

Also, I've been invited for a jam session today in Dortmund by some musician friends I made during the Kneipen (Honky Tonk) Festival last Saturday.
The one where I came out on the German Newspaper. :)
Still can't believe that happened.
It was REALLY random.
Anyway, it's like an hours drive but I am looking forward to it.
I just hope that we can make it in time cause we've got a pretty tight schedule today. Eep.

Well, if we do make it, i'll post up some pictures!

Prema Yin Takut Jadi Isteri

MASALAH dalam rumah tangga yang berlaku terhadap segelintir artis sehingga ada yang bercerai-berai membuatkan penyanyi genre pop rock, Prema Yin, turut mengalami perasaan takut sekiranya perkara itu terjadi dalam hidupnya apabila dia berkahwin suatu hari nanti.

Walaupun belum bersedia untuk bergelar isteri orang, Prema percaya, untuk mengharungi sebuah perkahwinan bukanlah sesuatu yang mudah. Malah setiap pasangan itu perlu bersikap tolak ansur bagi mengekalkan kebahagiaan dalam berumah tangga.

“Saya merasakan mengambil keputusan untuk mendirikan rumah tangga bukanlah sesuatu kerja yang mudah malah ia boleh jadi mimpi ngeri sekiranya perkahwinan itu tidak berkekalan.

“Apabila keadaan jadi begini, saya pun takut juga nak kahwin walaupun saya sebenarnya belum ada perancangan lagi ke arah itu,” katanya ketika diminta mengulas mengenai kes cerai yang semakin menjadi-jadi.

Tambah Prema, setiap pasangan juga perlu mempercayai antara satu sama lain dan tidak terlalu terikut-ikut dengan budaya Barat yang terlalu terbuka dalam sesebuah kehidupan.

Malah, baik suami mahupun isteri, kedua-dua mereka perlu membina mahligai perkahwinan mereka bersama dan jika salah seorang mengabaikannya, rumah tangga pasti akan porak-peranda.

“Walaupun saya hidup dengan gaya moden, saya masih mengekalkan ciri-ciri budaya Timur dalam kehidupan harian saya. Begitu juga dalam perkahwinan, sudah pasti saya mengambilnya sebagai keputusan yang serius dan bersedia untuk mengharungi segala dugaan tanpa melatah.

“Agak sukar untuk saya bercakap mengenai masyarakat kita di zaman ini. Cuma kita perlu mengingatkan diri agar tidak terlalu mengikut gaya orang Barat yang banyak mempengaruhi hidup kita,” tegasnya yang popular dengan lagunya, Eyo Eyo.

Jelajah Asia

Mengenai karier nyanyian Prema, dia bersyukur kerana mendapat perhatian di luar negara berbekalkan lagu-lagu daripada album pertamanya, Eyo Eyo.

Tidak pernah kecewa dengan publisiti yang kurang diraih di negara sendiri, Prema menganggap tuahnya belum tiba untuk dikenali di Malaysia.

Menurut Prema, dia tidak sangka tahun ini memberikannya satu peluang besar apabila dia berpeluang mengadakan persembahan di Singapura dan menjelajah di beberapa lokasi di Jepun.

“Saya seorang yang tidak mudah putus asa. Tidak popular di negara sendiri tidak bermakna karier kita musnah. Saya selalu mengingatkan diri sendiri bahawa saya masih baru di bidang muzik tempatan.

“Justeru, saya gembira dengan pencapaian yang dimiliki dalam masa tidak sampai dua tahun. Saya percaya, nama saya pasti akan terpahat dalam ingatan peminat muzik tempatan suatu hari nanti. Tambah pula single terbaru saya yang berjudul Blow My Mind sudah mula dimainkan di beberapa stesen radio.

“Mengadakan persembahan di luar negara adalah satu impian saya sejak kecil lagi dan bila diberi peluang untuk mewakili Malaysia di beberapa negara Asia, saya berasa seronok sangat. Apa-apa pun, saya akan pastikan saya tidak akan lupa asal usul saya,” tegas penyanyi berusia 26 tahun itu.

Tambah Prema, dia juga memiliki sebuah kumpulan muzik iaitu Mon9 yang sering mengiringinya untuk mengadakan setiap persembahan yang diadakan.

Walaupun masih baru dalam bidang muzik, Prema akui bukan mudah untuk dia bertapak menjadi seorang penyanyi yang dikenali.Katanya, sejak album pertamanya dilancarkan pada Ogos tahun lalu, lagu-lagunya seperti tidak diendahkan langsung oleh masyarakat umum.

“Saya rasa seperti lagu-lagu saya langsung tidak dihargai. Tapi saya cuba berfikiran positif untuk tidak memikirkan mengenang nasib saya ini sebaliknya saya berusaha dengan cara lain agar nama Prema Yin lebih dikenali,” tegasnya.

Hard Rock Cafe, KL@Bands in Suits - WWF Malaysia

This was for the Bands in Suits PC event in conjunction with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF Malaysia) Fundraiser.
I was really honored to be invited to perform for the event as I am one of the Ambassador for WWF .

It's been awhile! Im sorry.

Did you guys go for the Hennessy Artistry in Mines Convention Centre on the 23rd October, 2010?
If you did, you'd probably saw me performing one song with Rock Gods, Deja Voodoo Spells(myspace).
Performed Sweet Child of Mine, and man it was just awesome!

The hotel we stayed at! to be honest, i had an issue with the cleanliness of this hotel. i saw pieces of hair on the toilet bowl when we checked in. :( that was pretty gross, however they were really nice people working there and their service was pretty good.

After we checked in, the boys were excited to check out the music store, i think it's
called Sim Lee. All excited with the major discounts. haha

After we got back, we decided to check out the bands at Baybeats, and look around.

We saw Run Neon Tiger at the Arena Stage. Awesome music, cute boys. hehehe love the lead singer's voice.

I was feeling sick the whole week.Was down with a heavy and chesty cough and cold. Hence why i was eating porridge and all basically non-spicy dishes. Trust me, I'm someone who lives on spicy dishes, so that was pretty hard for me to eat food with no spices, no cold drinks. haha

Tough Weeks Ahead!

Today was one of those days where I realize that I feel drained from all the stress
and work put in to reach my dreams.
It's no walk on the park, that's for sure.
All the emotional, mental and sometimes physical pain we put ourselves in just to get
closer our dreams.
I guess, we all go through that in our own respective ways.
I get tired too sometimes.
Well, no way but to move forward and get over this phase.
My coming weeks are really gonna be hard on not only me but the band, and people
family and friends involved.
Wish us the best of luck, and yeah.. keep supporting us.
Your support is the one keeps us driving when we feel we do not have the faith to move forward. :)
Knowing you believe in us and want us to succeed always lifts our spirits and determination.
So.. Thank you.

TV3 Muzik Muzik, Shah Alam!

Yesterday we had the Muzik Muzik recording session!

Was pretty exciting for us. :)

Alot has happened since last posted something here!

Sorry I've been MIA.

Busy travelling trying to get my music out there :)

Just recently i was in Germany, New York and Quebec city, Canada for a month.

Played a couple of shows in New York and met some people there.

Personally, it was the most amazing experience I ever had!

All this happened right after the AIMs!

2010 was indeed a great year for me.

Well, here are the long overdued Australia pictures.
We arrived at Brisbane first. Spent 5 days in total there.
Jane and Richard were so nice to let us bunk at their place for this few days.
The lovebirds really took good care of us together with her family. :)

Hospital? NO man!

Today, i got hit on in the hospital where my brother was admitted.
For those who didn't know, my brother rammed into a divider and broke his hip bone.
But all, good. He is in a good shape.
Doesn't need to go for operation, so that's great news!
That's seriously God's blessing.
God is great.

Anyway, about this guy.
Well, the thing is i felt just a teeny bit weird as the venue where this took place was in a hospital, next to the Trauma ward, where my brother is admitted.
Lucky me, my brother is in good shape, but I wonder how it must feel if just say someone you cared about or love is really really sick, and your dead worried about them, and all of a sudden some random guy tries to hit on you in the hospital. Of course the guy is unaware about this.. but I don't know. It just feels completely inappropriate-la. :S

Hence, i just felt a little weirded out by it.
Just a thought. :)

Wow, I'm in Sydney now for almost 10days and I have been pretty inspired writing new stuff!

I like to help people when I can.

I mean, with boundaries of course. i'm no yes man haha
But, i feel good when these people who ask for my help are genuinely happy by my small contribution. :)
Of course not saying i've never met people who try to take too much, but like i said i am not a yes man, and when it goes overboard i'll just bluntly say no or ignore them. :P
Anyway,

I believe when you help someone, there will always be good karma sent back your way. And I must say it's true, sometimes little miracles happen when you least expect it. :)

Whatever it is, I'm just writing this post because i feel good that i made someone's day today and yeah, hopefully one day, someone will do the same for me too, cross fingers!

OLD TOWN?

For all those who know me for more than a month, i'm purtty sure that you are aware of my obsession for Old Town.
Yes, I am .. or USED to be a VERY loyal customer.
3 years ago when I discovered their existence, i was hooked.
I used to go every single day.
Sometimes twice a day! O_O
The food was good, nice environment, decent service, so why not right.
Lately, as a LOYAL(ask anyone k!i'm super loyal. haha) customer,
I started to see how much less they think about their customers and how much more they think about raking in the big bucks!
(Kudos to your branching out and becoming a business mogul.
I applaud your success.)

Anyway, so the portions start getting smaller and the rates start getting higher,
they put so little tea, and so much bloody ice, that by just 2 sips, you've practically finished our drinks.
The service is shit, literally. The workers practically ignore when you want to order, or sometimes talk rudely and so forth.
Of course not all, some have been pretty warm and friendly.
Now even with this, I STILL was going there regularly.

However,

Yesterday, i must say I was very VERY disappointed.
I went in yesterday to order my usual dish, and they said that their sambal is finished, and this was at about 2pm i think?
Slightly irritated, i said ok. Then i'll have this egg noodles(can't remember the name of the dish) with the prawn dumplings, which cost about 6bucks.
The guy tells me that the prawn dumplings was finished too.
So, slightly irritated once again, I said,"Ok, no problem. but i'm not gonna be charged the same rate right? Since you cannot provide me the prawn dumplings?"

They said, Oh no. I will still be charged the same amount.
Then I asked,"Ok..can I have just the egg noodles instead- ala carte."
Oh no, only this set.

WHAT?

I mean, i'm not that kind of person who is fussy about ONE bloody ringgit, cause the usual dish I always order is priced much more, but hell no I'm gonna be paying for something I'm not even getting. :S

So, in the end, we left and went over to another kopitiam called KEMAMAN kopitiam which serves, to be honest a more varied menu, (which was delicious and cheap might i add)nice and
warm people. I've always had a soft spot for cute, small sized old aunties. They always make me feel so welcomed with just their smile.

I guess that's the reality of things, the more you become successful, the less you care about little things that got you there in the first place. Quality and connection with your customers.

Not saying I'm never gonna go there again, cause that's just being plain childish, i like the food, won't deny it,so why would i deprive myself of getting what i like? Buuuuut, I'm not gonna be feeling so strongly about Old Town like I was 2-3 years back.

Guess I gotta look for a new "HOME" for my belly. haha

VIMA 2010 was pretty amazing!
I had so much fun rocking the stage with my band members MON9.
Mega awesome. :)
So, I manage to win an award.
I got GOLD for Best Pop Song, baby!
Wohooooo.
It was pretty funny though, I didn't even know i won something until my band members
pushed me to go on stage saying that they announced my name. O_o hahah
Talk about being blur at a vital moment.

Bali was downright AMAYYZING!
It is the best holiday so far, by a mile! :)
With great company, good food, and a wonderful scenery, who could ask for more.
Definitely a great place to go to unwind and chillllll. ;)

Hi Friends,

Today I found out that Moe's car got vandalized badly at DiGi headquarters, Shah Alam.
And to top it all off, every other car was untouched except Moe's.
It is believed that the cause of it was due to the cross he had on his car.

Whatever it is, if this was the reason, i am disappointed.
Not only is this behaviour unacceptable, but it is sick.
By using violence to force your opinions on others will not generate anything but hurt, anger and friction between us Malaysians.
This is not the way to solve a problem.
We are not animals.
Speak your thoughts, not show your tantrum.
There will always be a way to resolve ANY issue, minus the violence.
I pray that this difficult situation is resolved fast.

We waited for our burgers, did a little chit chatting, bought some drinks yada yada.

Finally I have uploaded the clip where my song was played on N-JOY, one of Germany's biggest Radio Stations!

It's basically a clip on the announcer introducing the song.

Since it's spoken in German, here is the translation :

Its 9.45 p.m. this is N-Joy Pop. And now, something about a singerwho´s been composing, writing and playing her songs all on her own - which means she has a really good idea about music- who won a singing competition and just released her first single and doing it very well. So far so good. the story seems average as we've heard about this a thousand of times.

But the interesting part about this particular story is that all of this is currently happening in Malaysia. PREMA YIN is her Name! She has, as I mentioned, won a singing competition- somewhat like a "Malaysian Idol"- and has been making music since then. And now she has decided to "bang" one song out, called "EYO EYO".

Eventhough it´s in Malay, It sounds really good even for our central-European ears. See what you think about it! I think it´s awesome and that's why I´m playing it for you at N-JOY POP.

My trip to Cameron Highlands with my family.
Quite nice actually.
A break from KL? Gladly. :)

After the loooong journey up to Cameron Highlands, we finally reached our destination, with thankfully my gut intact. Dang, what a winding road.
We stayed at Bala's Cottage, a really really nice little cottage up in Cameron Highlands, which apparently has really amazing scones. Or so my mum was saying..

After tea, we went around town, while my dad enjoyed a relaxing time at golf.

Day 2! Started off at the Strawberry Farm.

After the BOH tea farm, Dad left for golf, again. haha So, we ladies went to the Smokehouse!

Korean Association Event at Crowne Plaza, KL.

I performed for the Korean Association at Crowne Plaza yesterday.
Fooh.
Thankfully, it turned out well! :D
Sang the Korean song, and it seems(based on feedback by some Koreans) that I did quite a decent job on it! Wohoo.
The crowd was awesome!

Anyway, I met this really amazing harmonica player!
What an entertainer. Really got the crowd going!

Yes, it's a 4 note HARMONICA, as small as a matchbox box. Imagine, he played, "Silent Night" with this. damn.-_-"

Sometimes when you think it's possible, you get nothing.
And sometimes when you feel it's not worth it, you get little sparks of hope,
Life is such a tease.
The only thing it's missing is red high heel boots, fishnet stokings and a whip.

We go through so many emotions in one day - especially living in KL, where 70% of your time is stuck on the road due to one of KL's most finest and cultural activities - Traffic Jam-ma-ramma!

Yeah, so as I was saying, we go through so many emotions in one day that I think it's getting ridiculous.
I read a meditation book that says, "Define the emotion you are feeling, understand and embrace it. Now, imagine putting that emotion in a suitcase and allow yourself to release it from your life"
Imagine how many bags you'd have to release man.
Selling bags.Now,THAT is a great business opportunity.

Well,obviously, this post has no moral meanings or makes sense in the first place and I've probably wasted 3 mins of your life with this but that's what my blog is for anyway, to talk about nothing, EXCEPT when it comes to my music, ok. That one, me serious. :)

Monday, Fun Day?

Well, so I just got back from the interview and after practice with Isaac.

After that, rushed to the gym and had some Sakae sushi.
Damn, what good luck me and Moe had, we were late, and they said the kitchen was closed.
As I'm a big fan of the Ika Maki,(or so i think that's what it's called? You know, the one where they topped the squid with cod roe) I was damn stoked that even though the belt was quite empty, there was still 2 of it still spinning around! Of course, I whacked it la! muahaha :D

Then later, the staff came up to us and basically took our order eventhough their kitchen was supposed to be closed.
YAY!
Hence, it was definitely a pretty good day.
After that, all stuffed and happy, we decided to drop by at Tom, Dick and Harry's, this new place in TTDI.

FOOD POISONING?!??!

What a horrible daayyy! :(
Wednesday I had a show to do and I was knocked out due to food poisoning.
The whole day I spent sleeping, vomiting and.. err.. you know, the other stuff that comes with it.

I had no energy to walk downstairs to get me something to eat, all I wanted to do was sleep.
Never have I felt so bloody weak man, or that I can remember.

Thank God Sabine was there to take care of me, as I really felt so weak and helpless.

The vomiting stopped the next day, but the "other" stuff still ran it's course. :P

Word of advice?

Never order baileys with MILK, EVER,unless you're making it yourself -still,check the expiration date!

Screwed me over, badly!

Anyway, I'm really sorry for those who wanted to come and watch the show.
I'll make it up to you guys the next time.
I was really disappointed with myself that I had to back out on a show like that!
Sorry Bari, Isaac and Moe. :(

To be honest, I was really looking forward to see Beyonce perform.
Seriously man..
Her band, besides the fact that they are all hot looking women, are super tight and Beyonce's amazing peformance is just what i need to get more inspired to do what I love to do.

Dang, what a waste it had to be postponed :(

That woman is definitely one of the best vocalists and performer of our time.
I know that there are probably many undiscovered ones yet, but she good!

No wait, good is and understatement, she's sensational.

It was a very memorable day for me 2 days back!
At 3.47 A.M Malaysian Time (9.47 P.M German Time) my song "Eyo Eyo" was played on N-JOY, one of Germany's biggest radio stations!
It was such an overwhelming experience for me and all those who worked really hard in trying to get the my music out.
God is great. :)

Was at Cavells on on Tuesday.
Went there to watch Albert and Bada perform.

Anyway, Albert called me up to sing, and it was great fun!
Russell from Curtis Blues Review was there to jam too.
As usual, doing an amazing job on the mic. ;)
There was a girl name Sidney too.
Lovely lovely voice and a pretty dope style of dressing! ;)
